There is an exciting wind of change sweeping through SAMRO, as the organisation’s policy of nurturing the arts at a grassroots level, through music education, has gained new momentum with the recently established SAMRO Foundation. 

The SAMRO Overseas Scholarships for Keyboard Players is awarded every four years to deserving performers in the categories of Western Art and  Jazz/Popular music. The Scholarship competition is open to Keyboard Players born after 30 April 1980 who are citizens of South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho or Swaziland, and who have already completed (or expect to complete) their studies in 2013 for a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate degree majoring in keyboard performance. Budding performing artists are reminded that the deadline for the ACT | DALRO | Nedbank Performing Arts Scholarships for 2013 is fast approaching.
