SENA combines funding with support and advisory services to individuals and organisations, to enable them to further their careers in music education, composition, performance, research and more. Our outreach extends from broad support to NGO music schools and organizations, to more targeted support for individuals in the form of scholarships and bursaries. SAMRO’s Overseas Scholarships have been awarded since 1962, and coupled with SAMRO’s Music Bursaries, represent South Africa’s biggest and most lucrative music education awards – making SAMRO a leading contributor to music education in the country.
